We begin this trip along International Route 7, with the impressive view of the Potrerillos Dam, which amazes us after traveling through the Cacheuta Tunnel.
Our next stop will be Uspallata. From the southernmost point of the Inca Empire, we head to the villages of Picheuta, Polvaredas, Punta de Vacas, and the former Los Penitentes ski resort.
Later, we will find ourselves at the edge of our route, the Puente del Inca, a rock formation that represents a natural bridge surrounded by hot springs, over the Las Cuevas River.
A few kilometers from there, located at 2,750 meters above sea level, is the viewpoint of the colossus of the Americas, Mount Aconcagua, which at 6,962 meters above sea level welcomes visitors from all over the world eager to reach its summit.
Finally, we will arrive at the village of Las Cuevas, located at 3,200 meters above sea level, for our lunch stop and touring one of the Authentic Villages of our country.
Between Las Cuevas and the international tunnel to Chile, there is a route that allows you to ascend to the Christ the Redeemer Monument during the summer only. This iconic monument, located at 4,200 meters above sea level, symbolizes the union between Argentines and Chileans, and from there you can enjoy one of the fabulous views of the mountain range from above. (Summer only)
